What separates Dr. Picard from most others, is that the services he offers is “above and beyond traditional chiropractic care.” Beginning in 2002 he began receiving postgraduate training in chiropractic neurology and nutrition. As a result of his extended education he has developed a reputation for dealing with difficult cases.
After becoming frustrated with the inability to resolve the symptoms of peripheral neuropathy that a couple of his patients presented with, he began an intense 6 month journey into different techniques and therapies that could give patients the relief that they were looking for.
As a result of his searching, studies, clinical efforts, and patience on the part of some of his patients, Dr. Picard is now able to offer the Peripheral Neuropathy Pain Treatment Program. He currently sees people diagnosed with all types of neuropathies including diabetic neuropathy, peripheral neuropathy, chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy and polyneuropathy.
Symptoms and signs of each patient are often similar, but will vary in degree. Some patients receiving care may be diagnosed with diabetes, where many others are not. Some have been diagnosed by a neurologist, while others have not. Regardless of the diagnosis, the screening offered by Dr. Picard is key in ridding oneself of the symptoms of numbness, tingling, burning or foot pain. Keep in mind that the symptoms can also be of the leg, hands or feet.
Dr. Roy Joseph Picard received his degree in chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College in 1990. He opened his office in 1991 and has maintained offices in Macomb county ever since. Patients from Macomb Township, Washington Twp, Shelby Twp., Troy, Rochester, Sterling Heights, and Clinton Township, as well as all over southeast Michigan, are routinely seen in his office.
